I read this article, Paul. Thanks for sharing it.
I was impressed with the lucid thoughts of this young woman from beginning to end ... well, almost to the end.
I was ultimately disappointed with the relative shallowness of her conclusion, the basis for her errant choice of Islam over Christianity.
Her experiences, her prayers, her seeking, her desire for a deeper, stronger relationship with God had not moved her hungers and desires beyond milk, to solid food! (e.g. 1 Corinthians 3:2 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=53&chapter=3&verse=1&end_verse=3&version=31&context=context); Hebrews 5:12 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=65&chapter=5&verse=11&end_verse=13&version=31&context=context) ... BTW, I continue to find interesting the similarity between these two pieces of Scripture).
Her quest had been, ultimately and apparently, without spending fruitful time in the Word, meditating on it, seeking God's revelation of truth.
Those with ears, let them hear. We can all learn from this. Thank you again for sharing this article.
=====================
1 Peter 3:14-16 (New International Version)
14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened." 15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

I think firstly we have to look at whose web site this is on. Is it truth, or propaganda?
It is obvious the girl is not rooted in scripture, or understands any of it. This was evident to me in the last couple of paragraphs. I think too that this girl was always into material things of her life and not self sacrifice and seeking out the only true God.
Asking God to move a glass on a table is not seeking out whom God is. Possibly outside influences distracted her from the truth and pointed her in the wrong direction.
Learning more about Isam all the time. I was given a CD on how one person came to Islam. It is an audio file taped from the Mosque here in Scarborough.
It is what they use for conversions of other faiths to Islam.
If you would like a copy I can email the 4 CD tracks to you. Each track is only 1kb ea.
