Both my daughters home for a weekend

With Thanksgiving and Carl's birthday on Monday and Lindsay's birthday on Wednesday, this is big time of celebration for our family.

It's always nice to have both my kids home at the same time.

Question Barb...when does Christmas season kick off in Canada? The Friday after our Thanksgiving is the "unofficial" beginning of Christmas season (although things are already appearing in stores). That is when we will start hearing Christmas songs on the radio and in church, etc. That is when many people put up Christmas decorations.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to have Thanksgiving earlier to allow a little more time between holidays. Other times, I think, no it would just cause some people to extend the over-commercial aspects of Christmas.

Just wondering how the earlier Thanksgiving affects the "unofficial" Christmas season - if at all?

It seems the last week of November is when Christmas kicks in to really full gear. That's when you start hearing Christmas music in the malls and on TV.
