Windows 7 search engine

the search engine on both my Windows 7 computers has lightning speed - I like that.

However, I wish it would "stay" with the search results. At present when I click on one of the items it's found and establish nope, that's not what I want/need, the initial search is gone and I have to start over.

Is there any way to keep that initial search active????
