the Korean Conflict is ofetn referred to as "The Forgotten War" and indeed this citizen finds this close to the truth.
I am grateful that there are this day troops guarding a volatile perimeter in this Korean winter on the 38th parallel which borders North Korea. i was priviledged to care for Korean casualities and shared a compound with men from the renoun "Tiger Division" of the Korean Infantry. This Memorial is the most intimate of the three WAR memorials that grace our National Mall.

Wow those look really different with the light like that. It adds alot of drama and makes the faces look totally different.

I really liked the Korean War Memorial when we went to DC--all that symbolism and stuff is really neat. (Symbolism such as the 19 soldiers doubled is 38, the parallel on which Korea is divided; the parkas indicate the inclement weather the soldiers had to face...)
