Landon, my son, is currently doing a play at school. Friday evening we volunteered to usher. I went ahead of time to drive Landon so he could be there for his stage call. Robin (my wife) arrrived later. After everyone was seated (a sell-out) we took our seats and saw the play. It was great.

After we got home, it occurred to me that the details of the evening made it kind of funny. I said something like, "Well, I've taken you on another one of my great dates. We drove separately, worked for our tickets, couldn't have seats next to each other, and my only expenditure was $1 at the concession stand for a bottle of water which we shared."

It's great to be married to someone who you have great evenings with even with dates like that!

Sounds like a good date to me. You had one another in your hearts, and knew that they were near, and you would go home to the same house, pray together, etc. What could be better--except the fact that a third person was there with you?---Jesus the son of God.

Bad dates. Ha! I can't even find anyone worth going out on a date with, let alone be concerned about bad dates.

... and the coffee there's probably more than that $1.00 bottle of water, eh? ha! ;)

We both love to read, and enjoy coffee. It's the ideal place for us to get away for a few hours, we can sit together and enjoy a conversation over a cup of coffee without our 10 year old daughter.....

We have other options, but it's what we'll normally choose given the chance.
