We went to a forest with Edwin this afternoon. The weather was great, and we really enjoyed the walk and taking some pictures. All these pictures are mine.

Thanks, Hans.
I've wondered about European forests, and it is nice to see pictures. The way my aunt who used to live in Spain described Spanish forests made them sound more like parks than the wilderness we're so fond of preserving over here. It's neat to see how much your forests look like northern Wisconsin. (At least from your afternoon's pictures.)
I'll probably think of this next time I unload a unit of European lumber at the lumber company where I work; although, it seems that most of what we see comes from Germany rather than the Netherlands.
Nice photography, too.

Thanks for the pictures. Were they taken with your new "VR" lense?
I received a notice that my "VR" lense is waiting for me back in Gig Harbor. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it.

Yes, it's the only one I got right now. I sold the Sigma 18-125 and Sigma 70-300.
(BTW, you can check the Exif information and see what the VR does using FxIF (http://ted.mielczarek.org/code/mozilla/fxif/), a plugin for FireFox)
I have ordered the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 though, for photography in very low light conditions. And it's a cheap, but apparently very good lens.
Perhaps in due time, a macro lens might be added.

Yeah!! I hope you'll like it, Dave. I certainly do.

Are you lying prone to take these photos?

No, but I have been kneeling or sitting for some

Hans, I love your's and Hannie's photography. One of these reminds me that sometimes, "we can't see the forest for the trees."
