Dennis, I do understand you might wish to sleep all day, scratch whenever (don't guys do this, anyway? ;)), let people know someone loves them ... but do you really want to chase squirrels? Now, it is conceivable that dog lovers might want to make cats go away. ;)

Speaking of squirrel-chasing, anytime that comes up, I can still see my dog getting so excited seeing her first squirrel that she ended up with all fours on a branch at/nearly at three feet off the ground ... then she looked like, "What!? HOW did I get way up HERE!?" Funny dog. That's one of a couple of times we wished we had a video cam ready ... might have fetched her some nice $$$ from the AFV show, along with the one where she stood up, slid the patio door open by the handle ....

5 things my dog does that I wish I could do....

1) Sleeps as much as he wants.
2) Gets to roll in the grass naked as much as he wants.
3) Gets petted and stroked frequently.
4) Can just bark or whine and gets immediate attention.
5) Gets love and affection just by being himself.

Actually, we brush Ebony's and Katie's teeth with beef-flavored or peanutbutter-flavored toothpaste for dogs. Yep, it is true. We don't do it every day, but we DO it......and they sit there nicely while we do it!!
