I know children can sometimes be cruel but this news story is horrendous.

How sad. Can you imagine how scared and helpless that poor boy must have felt.

The non-chalant attitude towards cruelty and violence is mind-numbing. I'm getting to the point where I don't even like to watch shows like "America's Funniest Home Video's" because I don't find them funny. Causing or rejoicing in someone elses pain or embarassment isn't funny and when people film their kids in those situations it makes me livid. Almost as disturbing as the people who will pay any price for their 15 seconds of fame are the ones that will laugh at it.
Kids don't understand consequences and don't comprehend that what they think is cute, funny or cool is actually cruel and dangerous because they can't think in relationship to others. It's fortunate that the boy wasn't more significantly hurt, but my next question is what next. Kids will be kids just doesn't cut it, but that seems to be the mentality. It's all about culpability, not responsibility.
