for a breather i get to run a specimen to the lab...then take a quick run to third floor and fourth floor to say hello to some of my friends and return back to ICU to these two nurses. Victor and Bruno (i keep wanting to call this young man Bono...U 2 would be fortunate to have this precious Christian on their team!) You will see a photo of a nurse from Korea, (long dark hair) a nurse from Nigeria and a nurse from Brazil. We are a multi talented team in this hospital..drawing from everyones expertise and cultural values.
I give shift change report of my patient to Jen and head wearliy to the house! I am grateful to be working in a place where people are important and caring not only for our patients and their families but also the nurses, resp therapist, and lab and xray technicians is evident. I am challenged daily (nightly) with learning new procedures and working with state-of the -art equipment..and expanding (stretching) my comfort zones.

Hey Judy! Thanks for the tour! I wish I had thought to bring my camera to the hospital on the night shift a couple of weeks ago. Our halls were lined with beautiful quilts that had been donated for charity......It was a beautiful sight!!
