Hi Loraine....
GO CARDINALS!!!!
I will admit, I am surprised. I have been a cards fan as long as I can ever remember. But, I did not expect them to go far in the playoffs at all.

It should be a GREAT series.
Of course, I'd not want/desire/pray that the Tigers would do what they did to the N.Y. Yankees and/or the Oakland A's.
Oh nooooooooooooo!

This should be a good series, I'm not sure that FOX sports is as excited as we are about it. St. Louis and Detroit aren't exactly the big market cities that they hope for. On the other hand, this is what makes the series so great. 2 teams that work hard and play hard with managers that are old fashioned baseball guys. It should be fun.

Only because the Yankees are in the American League do I prefer the National League team. As a Brooklyn Bums fan and not an LA Dodger fan do I resurrect my anti-Yankee bias. But then again I would not be unhappy if the Tigers won. Like Tommy Lasorda says on the "Watch the World Series" spots I am a baseball fan and enjoy a well played game. I think Molina baled Scott Rolen out of deep disappointment both for his caught potential home run and his following throwing error. It was great to see the player with the lowest batting average of any National League regular, Molina, come through in the clutch. Wainwright was shaky but he did get the final out and picked up his second save of the NCLS.
