My Life is in Your Hands

I am being encouraged tonight as I am listening to the Trevecca Community Church choir CD that my friend Sara sent me while I was in Ohio with my Mom.

I know that I can make it
I know that I can stand
No matter what may come my way

I'm glad you are enjoying the CD. That's why I sent it. :)

Our music pastor and the choir and orchestra are top notch at Trevecca Community. The Lord has blessed them with many talents and has blessed our church with their use.

That song you are referring too is so simple and yet so profound. That is the song that was sung at our church on the sunday after I was told about the tumor on my shoulder (Friday) and it was the day before they confirmed it was cancer. What a blessed reminder on that long weekend of waiting that no matter what...my life is in HIS hands.

The next song on that CD is Lord, I Believe In You. When I went to the doctor's office on that Wednesday after they confirmed I had cancer, I went to find out more details. On that day, I was given details that were very bad about the cancer they had found. When I got back into my car, that song..."Lord, I Believe In You" was the one playing on my car stereo. I know for a fact I was listening to a CD when I got to the hospital. Yet, when I came out and started the car, the CD did not come on, the Christain radio station did...with that song. :)

God uses music in wonderful ways to minister to us. I'm very thankful for music....although He could have given me more TALENT in the music area. ;)

That is one of my favorite songs. Our choir sings it and it is a song that we have sung many times. It has such meaning. The Holy Spirit is always very present when we are singing it.
