Tho' it looked really old, knowing that we have some rather old stuff in some cities here, along with the new, and its being after 3am, I read: "the country" as this one. So, just nevermind where I tho't it was ... ;) Duh! :rolleyes:

It looks like a picture I've seen of the remains of a Roman Governor's Palace.
Since you say it is the "second largest" city, I'm guessing that it was not taken in Rome.
I'm not up on the population of various cites in the Middle East, so I'm going to guess Jerusalem.
The only other city I can think of is Caesarea.
I hope I'm not tooo far off.
