I can't imagine what it takes for a police officer to go undercover on the Internet to weed out perverts. The article below describes how a child was rescued because of the sacrifice of one such officer.

I can't fathom what it does to the emotional and spiritual health of an officer to have to do this day after day. They have to see the most heartbreaking things and often are powerless to stop it. But they keep going, knowing that once in awhile they can.

I salute all of them. And I am very glad that on Sunday, the officer was able to do something.

friendly bump

Where i agree that the *thank you's* cut down on one line posts - the option allows the possibility for wonderful threads; such as this; to be buried.

Great story - thanks for showing and i agree with you thoughts.

I think everybody in law enforcement sees things quite regularly that a lot of us would like to think don't happen very often. Worse yet, they have to throw themselves into these situations and try to make a difference, and to do so while treating total monsters with respect. We owe these guys a lot more than we realize. At least they caught the creep in your news item.
