It was 610AM CKTV on the radio each day from 9am to 12pm.
I use to be one of John's funniest callers. I miss ole John...
John had NO format for the show. Callers just called in and talked about whatever was on their minds. Eventually, Big Brother shut him down... :basic04
We could all see it coming for months. Boy did I learn a lot from that show.
I wonder how John Michael is doing.

Although it was a bit of a hike for his limousine driver, a couple of hours down the road from Toronto to St. Catharines, former Ontario Premier, Mike Harris, appeared on John Michael's show for a half hour at 9 a.m. on February 23rd, 2001, presumably to bolster his waning popularity with his Ontario constituents at the time.
He had just passed legislation that dramatically and negatively affected senior citizens and those on welfare.
I guess his appearance on the show didn't have the desired effect.

I remember that show! That was unusual...
I also remember two others where John spoke out against Palastinians and Israelis. Another time he put down French speaking Canadians. (Quebecors)
Some took them both as an insult and I think that had something to do with his eventual demise. John and the station both had to apologize on air for like ever.
Shortly after that the station was bought by a US company, the format changed and John was soon history.
I truely miss the ole guy. John use to say that only radio talk show hosts live forever... In the minds of the listeners I guess.
