Muslim Property

When John was on a tour of the Holy Land 14 years ago he noticed that there is a lot of Muslim property that was once Biblical location of some event. There is a Muslim cemetery on Golgotha. There are Muslim mosques on locations of some of Jesus's events.

The guide at the Garden Tomb told the group that a British man or organization(can't remember which) bought the garden property just to keep it out of the hands of the Muslims.

At the time, and even today, I have had the impression that the Muslims have tried to hide, erase or negate Christ.

Some of that may be true. Some of it probably also has to do with the millenium plus that the Arabs lived there without any Jewish or Christian population, to speak of. How many things have we erected in this country that turn out to be on some Native American holy site?

I'm not denying that what you say is true, but I wonder if it's the biggest reason.
