It was truly inspiring. In his introduction, Prof. Barry Swanson, mentioned that there were several in the congregation whom he had been in contact with some time during his adult life including one who had been a professor at his alma mater, some had been at the Bible college at Colorado Springs when he had served there and some who had been members of a youth group when he was on staff at their home church. Three of there songs were from African traditions and you could sense the spirit even if the words were not understandable. On one the choir swayed back and forth just like an African choir would have done. I teased the collegians by asking them before the service if they were from a local institution and then told them that I had been "institutionalized" there myself and was from the class of
"61." And the response was to the effect that they did not know that there was any remaining alumni still alive from that far back. WOW!
