I believe that some individuals are given a special gift from the Lord around animals. I have heard of this before, of testimonies how some people can naturally attract wild animals and they come without much hestitation.

Here is an example; this man, Walter, our church board secretary, has this gift of attracting small wild animals, particularly squirrels and birds. He sent me some photos and here is one of them to show you!

I have been able to get a few birds to perch on my hand.
That includes Hummingbirds, Mountain Chicadees and one Pine Siskin.
That is a neat experience, but it takes much patience.
I've never been able to get a picture of the action, so I can't prove it here.

We were in a park in San Francisco a number of years ago when an elderly couple came to the park, and with just a few calls, had squirrels and birds coming right up to them. So it must really be gift.

Thanks for the neat post.

This used to happen to me when I was a boy in northern NY and there was snow on the ground! The chickadees would land on my arm and eat out of my hand!

I wonder if part of the gift might be a calm, peaceful spirit?
