Our DQ has a new blizzard flavor...PUMPKIN PIE!!!!!!!!!! It has chunks of crust and pumpkin mixed in the ice cream and whipped cream with nutmeg on top!! Oh my goodness...they are sooooooooooo good. I had one last night after my kids chicken meal. My brother and his wife from OK came to visit and when I told them about the new flavor and because my brother loves ice cream, we had to go get one tonight. If you have a DQ and like pumpkin pie, you're gonna love it.

This is the 3rd year we have had that blizzard flavor in November. John loves it. I prefer Xtreme Chocolate. Does that surprise anyone?

I was in the mood for a blizzard after church tonight, but came home and ate a banana popsickle.

It's at times like this that I regret being wheat intolerant.

I love pumpkin pie. Can't eat the crust though.

This treat sounds delicious.

'Think I'd rather have the pumpkin part of the pie in it without the crust; wet crust can get mushy, & I prefer it to be crispy. ;o)

BUT, we don't have to worry about such things here, anyway; our ice cream places have "closed" signs on them. ONE of them said, "Closed October 1 (making the ice cream, I guess); open to October 15 for lunch," as they have sandwiches, chili dogs, etc.

TODAY it's so warm, there'd be gobs of folks there ... however, we've also had some like-winter weather, as well ... the kind of days no one would go there. That's another "perk" for those living down south; places don't close down so soon ... if at all. ;)

Tho't I'd come back to add that I've not been one to help keep them open, anyway; a couple of summers ago when one opened up just a few blocks away, I did; managed to fill up a card that had 8-10 places on it to be stamped. Then you get one free. Well, I was there once or twice this summer and forgot that card, so have a card from two years ago. 'Guess in two summers I've gone there 9-11 times, depending on how many deals that card has on it. ;)

We haven't had a DQ close by until early this year, and I've been there Tues, Wed, and today. We talked about getting one after we left Cracker Barrel for breakfast, but DQ wasn't open yet. So we went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch, then to the mall and on the way home, we just had to have a little dessert! Thank goodness my brother & sister-in-law are going home early tomorrow morning. Once these go away Dec 1 I'll be headed back to Dippin' Dots for my ice cream fix.

Got hooked, did you?

LOL

Much better than boring, plain old pumpkin pie. LOL

Have you found the pumpkin pie spice cappuchino? Some of our gas station convenience stores are selling it. It is great, too.
