Not the hot kind of spice. It's the holiday spice. These are so awesome for pecan fans. Great for holiday gatherings too!
Ingredients:
5 Cups pecans
1 Egg white
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1tsp. cinnamon
(butter coated baking sheet)
Coat nuts with egg whites whipped with 1 tablespoon of water added. In a seperate bowl, mix all other ingredients. Put mixture and coated pecans in a large plastic bag and shake to coat well.
Spread on buttered cookie sheet and bake at 275 degrees for 20 minutes or more until crispy. (I bake no more than 23 minutes) Be careful not to over-bake and burn the nuts. Stir the nuts every 10 minutes while baking. Turn out onto wax paper to cool.
Watch out they're addicting if your a pecan fan!!
