dont know if its true, but it said that there actually was a man who lived in this messy house, and would make tunnels through all this to the bedrooms and bathroom. He obviously had a drinking problem, but the ladlord thought he was ok, cause his rent was paid on time. Wouldnt you think there would be an odor from this place?

I do not think the odor would bother him?
What is the next question?

This isn't funny, infact it's a sickness, but a group of guys in our church helped rehabilitate a home owned by an older woman in our church. They hauled load after load of trash from the home, and believe it or not, actually found a piano burried under the trash removed from the living room. She had paths from room to room, but there was little area to move around.

At one time our business did cleaning for real estate management companies, and frequently received calls to clean similar scenarios. One time we could not see all the ceiling in the laundry because of the piles of dirty clothes on the floor.
Perhaps the worst was one in which there was one path through the rubble from the front door littered with the owner's mail after he brought it in through the front door, reading/discarding it on the floor as he made his way to the back of the house. Another path led from the kitchen to the bedroom and was littered with partially eaten meals and food items. In one bathroom there were over a hundred empty cardboard toilet paper rolls on the floor. The kitchen stove we originally thought to be brown turned out after cleaning to be white. We were not able to identify some of the items in the refrigerator, and it took us a while to find the sink.
The 58 year old man had two doctorates: one in religion, and one in philosophy. We were called in when the 86 year old landlady finally had to evict him for non-payment of rent. She was his mother.
