Go 'Pokes! Go 'Pokes! Go 'Pokes!
Here's hoping Stoopes isn't able to back into a Big 12 title game; and if he does, here's hoping Nebraska destroys them at Arrowhead next weekend.
Words are insufficient to express my dislike for Bob Stoopes. And I was Sooner-friendly until he got there. My Dad was an Okie, and in our house when you spoke Bud Wilkinson's name, it was done in hushed, reverent tones.
P.S. I doubt that God cares who wins.

Those Pokes wore us out at our SNU Tailgate party!!!!!!!!!!!!
the last few minutes of the game were totally exhausting
even laid back Dick Bond was animated!!
It will be good to play the Huskers again next week in KC
In the 80's Nebraska and OU were always rivals to play the National Championship in the Orange Bowl..when there was just a couple of Bowl games on NY Day
and by the end of the 4th quarter the end zone at Owens Stadium in Norman would be covered with oranges (if we were wining)
Sad Bruce that you have a neg opinion of Bob Stoops. He is a godly man of good character..

Oh Judy, today after the Boise State Broncos (now 12-0) won their game and are expected to be invited to the Fiesta Bowl it was mentioned that their possible opponent would be either the Huskers or the Sooners. What do you think?

You know what they say about actions speaking louder than words. I doubt you'll find ten people within 100 miles of Manhattan, KS who feel that way about Bob Stoops.

Jim,
The Fiesta Bowl and the Big 12 have a contract and unless:
1) It is the Fiesta Bowl's year to host the BCS championship game, or;
2) The Big 12 champion is in the BCS championship game;
then the Big 12 winner goes to the Fiesta Bowl to face an at-large invitee.
If Boise State is invited to the Fiesta Bowl, they will definitely face the Nebraska-Oklahoma winner.
Much as I dislike them, congrats to OU on winning the South, and for doing it without their best player. Quite an accomplishment. Go Huskers!!

ranked in the top 10

Congrats to Judy and her Sooner Nation friends. I was at that game last night, and I rooted hard for the Huskers. I still don't like OU. But the best team won...no question.
Saddest part of the whole season in retrospect...at least from a Sooner's standpoint: With the USC loss yesterday, if the referees in Oregon get EITHER one of those calls right at the end of the game, OU is in line for a shot at the BCS title game. Don't know exactly where they'd be ranked, but they'd be 12-1, with their only loss being to Texas, who was ranked very high at the time of that game. Good chance they'd be ranked #2.
Now it's bowl season and time for Big 12 fans to close ranks. Go Sooners! Beat the Broncos! (Like that's not going to happen anyway.)
PS...I still don't think God cares who wins college football games. :)
