I apologize for worrying people with my heading about leaving a dog alone in a car for 10 minutes. I realize that in some places right now, leaving a dog in a car for ten minutes would be fatal and that might be the first thought that jumped to someone's mind. Please know that we don't leave Brinx in the car when it is hot. And during the summer months I become a bit of crusader, checking cars in parking lots. I have called authorities for a few times.

But right now, temps are just a little bit above freezing and a dog can do fine in a car for a few minutes.

Brinx likes the winter for that very reason. He gets more rides.

I just love hearing others do report such things. I found a tiny little boy in a truck on a HOT summer day. I called the Police. I was just ready
to break the window when Granny came out of the store. She was a small block away from the truck.
She went on, but she received a visit from the dept and a warning at her front door. I received a cussin!! from Granny:)
She called me a "busy body", loved it.:) That little guy was all red and out of it.

Actually I didn't worry about BRINX -- because I know that you love him dearly and would never put his life in any type of danger.

It is funny, though, because my first thought was that something may have happened to him -- and I think that is because we hear about it all the time here. And because it is a law here in Arizona that you do NOT leave your animal in the car.

I think that those of us who live in the heat are probably the ones who would gasp first and smile later once we read the whole story.

Not to worry, I knew you'd never put Brinx in any danger........he's one lucky dog!!!

I doubt that any relative of the wolf would die in a cold car even in far more than ten minutes.

I have to admit that when I saw the title of your post, I was afraid to open it for fear of something horrible.

But believe me, it didn't occur to me that the horrible story would be YOU, even if I didn't want to open it :)

Glad it was just cookies in cool weather.

We often worry about what to do with Annie, if we go out to eat. We dont want to leave her home alone, so we take an extra set of keys and if its cold, we leave a little heat on, if its warm we leave a little ac on.....guess we are really spoilin her huh? Thats what the vet said when she was in last time....he looked at us and said, "you know what....this dog is just plain spoiled!"
