I took time last night and tonight to redo a couple of other websites that I had on the NazNet server.

For some time now I've intended to move the sites over to the Google Sites service so I could free up some of the NazNet server load and lower the maintenance on the server. The crash seemed to make it a good time for such a move!

I'm not close to finished with the new sites, but I'm in a "so far, so good" mood about them.

Thanks for posting these Scott. I have one site on Google and keep playing with it to get the look and feel I would like. Given my activities this year, I haven't had much time at all to devote to getting anything I like, so I just keep giving up and defaulting back to the original I did -- which I think is horendous. I like your left-bar for the church and it was what I was going for at one time. Might have to plunder your code!

Billie, it's actually just part of a Google Sites template. I've set up several websites using Sites and it's about as easy as it can get. The biggest challenge is coming up with worthwhile content for the site.

My biggest problem is I usually do web pages by hand, so I tend to develop an idea of what I want, then make it look like that. With the google sites templates, it causes me to shift my paradigm and I usually end up more frustrated than anything. Site content is one of the issues as well. The site is really nothing more than a calendar for motorcycle activities for our area -- not really attached to any specific group or anything. I will probably spend a little more time in the next couple of months to get it more polished. Sites like yours always give me some ideas -- just got to act on them.
