My hot cider recipe

In a 5-6 gallon crockpot I place a gallon of cider and a quart of cranberry or cran-apple juice and an 8 oz. package of cinnamon red hot candies. The cranberry juice gives the concoction a bit of a "snap" and the candies sweeten it with a must cinnamon flavoring.

I don't have a five gallon crock pot, will an old gas can work if I rinse it out first ?

Mom used to can a lot of apple sauce. She liked to put cinnamon candies in some of her apple sauce. It gave it a nice cinnamon flavor and a nice color too. My wife likes hot apple cider for Christmas. I'm not sure what all she puts in it but I know there is cinnamon and cloves in it. It would rather have mine cold with a little 7up or ginger ale in it.
