Dear Marg,

Thanks for asking. I'm on chemo for the cancer and to all appearances it is working really well on the cancer. Unfortunately, it's also doing a number on my blood counts. I'm on shots to boost the white counts, which are working well, and shots to boos the red counts, which don't seem to be working at all. I've had one transfusion and may be on my way to another before Christmas. It's even messing with my platelets - had to skip the chemo drugs last week because of that problem. I also have the occasional digestive difficulty. All in all, I am looking forward to a new set of scans in February to decide whether we keep with what we're doing, change to another chemo, or if the chemo has been successful enough we can back off a bit and go to a hormonal plus herceptin or just herceptin for a while. Meanwhile, I have continued to see God's grace in enabling me to do everything He wants me to do. I've continued to preach every Sunday, teach Sunday School, work with the kids and teens, and do the core of the rest of my job as pastor. I have noticed, however, a slight drop off in church attendance - people won't come to church if at all under the weather for fear of givng me their illnesses! The people in my congregation are amazing.

Love you all.
Grace and peace,
Jenny

Jenny!!! What a brave women you are!!! Only our Father can give you such strength!!
You sound like you have educated yourself in this field.
I have always found that the best thing to do.
I had a very ill daughter and I studied for years about the brain and circulation.

So much so that when I went to work, I worked the surgery floor. Things I had read just bounced back into my mind when I needed to spell something mostly unkown and etc.
It is wonderful the new things we have concerning cancer now and I pray one of those really take a hold of you if that is the way the Lord wants you healed.. I would go for the Lord healing and I am sure you would too. It is faster.
Love To You
Marg.
