Seriously, OSU already proved that it beat Michigan this year. A rematch would only 1. prove that OSU is better, or 2. that Michigan can win after given a second chance and there would be no clear national championship.
I don't know if Michigan is better than Florida...it's certainly possible...it's just that Michigan already had their chance, and they lost. I really believe the National Championship game was already played in the 'Shoe.

Your reasoning sound, as a Michigan fan if the circumstances were reversed I'd feel the same way. Michigan has no "right" to assume they should be in the game. However...
All that aside, and looking at the BCS to provide the match up of the 2 best teams in college football then Michigan has to be included in the mix, and the fact that a rematch isn't a good idea, just isn't a good reason to not have the game.
Again, on the surface I don't disagree with you, but in the larger picture of college football, baring no rules against a rematch, or a non-league champion playing in the championship game, then Michigan has a good case.

A predictable answer from an Ohioan who was terrified that the BCS title game might be a rematch with Michigan...and whose coach was so terrified of the prospect that he didn't vote in the coaches poll, because he couldn't do it and be honest.
I'm not a Michigan fan. I'm not a Big 10 fan. But the way the BCS ratings are "supposed" to work, the #2 team gets to play the #1 team. After USC lost, the #2 team SHOULD HAVE been Michigan. They didn't suddenly become #3 behind Florida, just because USC lost. If there were ahead of Florida the week before...and they were...then they should have stayed ahead of Florida. Florida's win over Arkansas was not THAT convincing that you move them past a team that didn't even play that week.
If the BCS wants to make a rule that says "no rematches", then they should make that a rule. If they want to make a rule that says you must win your conference to play in the title game, then they should make the rule. But the way the rules are now, Michigan got a royal shafting.

Carol can you explain your desire to play any team but Michigan?

OSU only won by three points IN COLUMBUS! Would YOU want a rematch on neutral turf?

I'm sure you didn't mean that I believed that personally, but that sure is how your post sounds! Personally, I wasn't terrified to at the prosepect of having to re-play Michigan, because they couldn't get it done the first time. No fear here.:basic07
