I took this picture one morning recently - at a local supermarket.
Would someone PLEASE explain it to me? Do they have quarters for party heads?
And further, is there a remote possibility that the sign maker failed sentence structure in the 7th grade?
Thought so.

No.... Sounds like they are selling 1/4 heads (quarters)
Did you rush in and buy some?

Thought so.
Now, that sounds like a real possibility. Taught was that 7th grade in?
Must have I missed it.

Maybe that is some kind of head cheese?
His teacher belongs to the union and they can't test her or fire her as long as she stays politically correct.

A HUGE reminder of how America is "dumbing down". I remember when my son started his 2nd grade math class and he was to "estimate" while doing his addition.
Estimate? Mathematics? Isn't mathematics about as precise as one gets?
Rather than getting upset about it, I taught him to TRULY add.
Taught him phonics, too, BTW. By the time he started kindergarten, public schools had converted to "whole word" reading. That one threw me, too ...

I think phonics is over rated. So much of American Engish is not phonetic. I learn to spell much better with good old fashioned repetition. (I'm still not a good speller) The guy I work with didn't learn anything in school. He took that "Hooked on Phonics" course that was advertized so heavily a few years ago. He spells phonetically and he is the worst speller I know.

The old educator must speak up for fonix and offer to you that good old English word ghoti which is if you take the gh sound from tough and to o from the word women and the ti from action you get the word we more commonly spell fish. I have always been intrigued by the fact that phonics it self is not spelled phonetically.
Estimation is an effort to try to have the student predetermined about what an answer in addition or subtraction should be as to whether they come close enough to feel that their answer is in the right neighborhood. Somewhat like geography in processing given information to determine whether an address is in which neighborhood.

So why are the "party heads" selling food in their quarters? Or are they advertising the prices that they will pay for food to serve at the parties hosted in their quarters? Are these political parties or party parties?
Very curious, indeed.
