IPTC editor

I'm looking for a freeware (if possible) IPTC editor (or larger program) that can add IPTC captions to several pictures in a batch in stead of one by one. I found one included in a program but the program crashes all the time and that is kind of a nuisance. Anyone?

Irfan is one I use. It allows for several batch operations -- I think you can edit the IPTC info. See here (http://www.irfanview.com/).
