DVD Photo Slideshow

Happy New Year Everyone!

Does anyone know of any free software to produce a slideshow on a DVD of your photos please? My parents don't have a computer but they could view their photos on their television via the DVD player.

If it's a newer DVD player, it just may play a slide show of a DVD disk that contains JPEG files. I know my DVD player will. The older one's probably won't. It won't be fancy or anything, but you could load hundreds of JPG's onto a DVD disk and send it off.

Microsoft has a free program called "Photo Story" that will create a slide show, complete with transitions, music, and/or narration. It would create a single movie file that you would need to convert to a DVD video format. Note that they wouldn't be able to manually advance/rewind the photos--just play the movie.

Don't know if that would work for what you want or not.
