I think he hit the letter P instead of the O since they are right next to each other. He probably is asking about "good" dishes. I think the Dutch are more known for their baked goods, especially their Dutch Letters. The Dutch invented the donut. Of course the Dutch love chocolate also.

You may be right! But since he didn't answer, it doesn't look like Bob is real desperate for Dutch recipe's :basic03

Why? Nothing wrong with the question! But I don't think Dutch cuisine is famous for its dishes! When we go out for dinner (which we don't do all that often), we generally end up at a Chinese/Indonesian restaurant. Hannie is very fond of Bejing Duck with a fruit sauce. And indeed, that is delicious!
We also like Babi Pangang, which is roasted pork in a delicious sauce.

For years I have seen "Dutch Apple Pie" at times on menus. It always has a crumb topping instead of a crust. I always assumed it came from the Pennsylvania Dutch area.

So, Hans, when you have apple pie, what does it look like? Besides apples and crust. LOL

Dear Barb, that is not so easy to answer! Almost everyone here makes there apple pies differently. I can tell you how we do it, but my mother would use a different recipe and my sister would use still another one.
