They just announced on the news that the Pope has come down with the Bird flu.
Yup, seems he got it from a cardinal!
This is from my dear husband Paul:basic05

If he passes away, will they sing, "I'll Fly Away?"
Just could not resist.

Barb, who often is called a "bird brain"
But just consider this [unless my memory is faulty here]: Isn't the bird's brain, in comparison to its body size, a bit large (just as is their daily diet, compared to their weight). So, if you're a "bird brain," I'd guess that would mean you're rather smart, Barb ... having a huge brain that can do/remember all sorts of things! ha!
gina, who's also been called "bird brain," but it wasn't meant in a nice way; just one of those names for thinking differently than someone here does.

double sense
Thanks for the pretty big laughter - you can not know why.
He is german, we say instead of someone "has a spleen", someone "is crazy"
someone "has a bird",
according to this, it could be known in France too, because (I could error), it is told about Napoleon Bonaparte, he should have tipped on forehead and should have said, "Kookoo!" about another one he did not agree to.

Ha, ha!
Please,
where is your left arm while handshaking?
In case you must not carry a thing like a bag, your arm will hang down or hand is lain on legs side or so - arm points downwards.
body language
I remember to Dr. Franz Joseph Strauß, former Defenseminister of Germany and a mighty figure for inner politics.
He turned always the inside of his hands while hanging down to his back. He had many things to hide. It was good he did.
In Swaziland people also do handshake,
but to show,
"I do not hide in my left hand a weapon",
the Swazis touch while handshaking their own right lower arm by their left hand.
A visitor should know this, not to be identified as unpolite (or as an enemy, oh, oh!).
