Has anyone downloaded the Office 2007 trial version? I tried and it didn't work except for part of it.

Any one have any oppinions on either of the two new Microsoft products coming out?

I tend to get excited about trying new things but my experience with trying to download the trial of Office 2007 has me running to Costco to buy 2003 before it goes off the shelf.

I have heard that Office 2007 is very different from the other versions. I was told that it uses ribbons instead of traditional toolbars for one thing. The only negative comments I have heard was justifying the cost of upgrading and the steep learning curve with the new Office Suite. I will be attending a Microsoft Partners Seminar on the 27th of February. I'm sure I'll learn a lot about Office 2007, Vista, and Server 2007 at that time.

I enjoy trying new things and have been using '07 since this past summer. The final version is pretty nice and the ribbon type toolbars have lots of "gee whiz" punch. They're actually pretty handy in that they bring up categories of tools that make sense together. Pretty intuitive.

That being said, I'm a chicken at heart and keep all my serious stuff on a laptop with tried and true versions of software, like XP and '03.

I tried for hours to get a trial verson to download, in fact, I think I have about 6 of them now but have never been able to get one to come up that I could use the code to open it up. I've been told you have to run an exe file but I try and they will not run.

I think I'm going back to a pad of paper and a pencil.

Better yet, go find a nice quill and bottle of ink ... in some places you can even find some parchment paper. ha! :basic05
