Perhaps this quote will help you put things in perspective:

Some people believe football is a matter of life and death.
I'm very disappointed with that attitude.
I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.

Me, too.
It looked good after about 10 seconds into the game, but alas, the "fat lady finally sang." (excuse the comparison.)

But after all the Colts coach'e family went through last year....

Anyone who watched the Ohio State - Florida game knows that running the opening kickoff for a touchdown guarantees nothing.

I dutifully went to church last evening, even though the Kickoff for the Superbowl came about 25 minutes into the service. We had a number of visitors here last night because we had a special preacher--my son Matthew, who was preaching his first sermon. He says he's been called ot preach, and at 17 years old, is considering getting his local minister's license. Well, his first message had good content. And it was only about 10 minutes long. (I told him not to worry--once he begins formally studying for the ministry he'll learn how to put into many words what it takes most people a few words to say). :basic01

Anyway, visitors hung around, and by the time I got home to see any of the game it was already in the 2nd Quarter -- and the Bears were winning 14-9.

But as soon as I started watching, it went downhill. So all of you other Bears fans can blame this Bears fan for the loss because once he started watching the game, the Colts outscored the Bears 20-3.

And by the way, yes, I wanted the Bears to win. But for the past dozen years or so, the Colts have been my 2nd favorite team after the Bears. The Colts are my favorite AFC team. So if the Bears had to lose in the Super Bowl, at least it was a bit easier for me to take since it was the Colts that won.

And how about Tony Dungee actually mentioning Jesus during the trophy presentation/post-game interview? :fav18

Billy, I was thinking that very same thing! :o
