Some years ago I had the answers, but I forgot. Now I will try to get this riddle again. As I remember, the result is a very lovely result.
Once the bible (KJV, Darby 1894 french, Luther 1912 and other translations) will have 30.103 Verses in 1189 Chapters,
what are the central verse and the central chapter?
--- edited --- there are found 31.103 Verses, excuse me, please
While I created the bibles in html, every chapter another webpage, I played around and have found such things out.
The longest chapter Psalm 119 and the shortest chapter Psalm 117
v. 1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
v. 2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
Easy done - a bible came as one UTF-8 text file. Books and chapters have been marked, so I could count pretty comfortable - and every line another verse, ended by the physical line break.
By the way, while reading, "Praise ye the LORD",
I liked to sing "Praise ye the LORD, Hallelujah!", a spiritual for several choires (one choire does answer the others, very nice), in Germany most times around easter sung.

Since June 1994 I did leave my home very rarely. Once Ruth does not push me, I never would set my foot in front of main door. Three years ago on her birthday was the german premiere of the Luther Film, I could not say No, Reformation Day October 30th and her birthday are very closed to another. One year later again on her birthday she asked to watch the premiere of "Sophy Scholl".
Then I have seen the Nehemiah Yard on May 1st (yearly Day of Open Doors) and have been to Frankfurt / Main and Berlin to meet Elisabeth once she came with the MidAmerica Jazz Ensemble from Olathe, Kansas and I have met her later several times in Berlin once she needed a bit help moving to another appartment.
You will see - someone could count it up on his fingers.
Why I do not leave my home, I have reasons, I will not talk about.
I did in the past, but it did not help.
From long time sitting in office chair my arteries or veins in left leg are partially closed, I got black toes and I could them revitalize only by a hard and strictly raw food diet with tons of added enzymes. Still my leg became better, but does not work correctly, many pain and I only can walk some hundred meters on one strike, two years ago - believe it or not - I was on my bike faster than all of my sons. We have a closed railway nearby, prepared for pedestrians and bikeriders as a nice long distance racing way. Not needed to say, I looked for help but did not know where when how.
Once my eldest son did marry, I have not been to the festval.
Once Elisabeth graduated on Nazarene European College EuNC, I was invited, but did not follow (Ruth did).
And more.
Now I found rests of my bible work - a Luther 1912 textfile I used for tests as index of a full text search script. Later I wrote another script. This text file was generated by a php - scrript without a given oder. It does not begin by Genesis One, it beginns by "historic books, Ruth, chapter four" "lhist/lruth4.htm" and it does not end by Revelation 22, it ends by "prophetic books, Zephaniah, chapter three". I do not know why this crazy order (I could find out, but - for what?)
Fact is - it ends by Zephaniah three.
I sat by open mouth and did not understand what I have read.
v. 18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
v. 19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
v. 20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
I know, I am not meant - meant are the children Israel,
but some of the words do meet exactly my situation.
I do not why - the only answer is - someone did pray for me.
I created my own personally prison around me - with bad effects for my health. He will come to take me out?
Already years ago I have given up the will to return to life.
A few days ago I first times told my story to another one. It is a family father, living in Berlin. We have been members of the same community in the Church of the Nazarene during our Berlin years. One of his three sons ended his life as an 18aged student while first semester on the Freiburg University (Baden - Württemberg) by his own hand two years ago. No Good Bye - letter, nobody knows why. Heavy weight burdens do teach patience and love. This was the reason to tell my story - only to him, the father of this student got my benevolence. To nobody else on this globe. He told me his deepest feelings and selfdoubts one year ago. I did not ask for, but he did.

I lost the help tools, I used while creating the online bibles, so I have got again some bibles as textfiles from "The Unbound Bible" on
http://www.biola.edu/
The verse No 15552, the central verse out of all 31103 verses is PS 103, v. 2
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
What chapter the central chapter will be, I still have not figured out.
Did you?
