Australia and the Netherlands have been ,or will be, playing quit a bit of serious sport against each other lately.
Australia played the Netherlands in Australia in a hockey series which I think Australia won but only just. Australia and the Netherlands are the world's #1 and #2 team in hockey. Just before anyone shouts "that can't be right," I'm talking about real hockey, not the stuff played on ice.
Next month Australia meets the Netherlands in the first round of world cup games in the Cricket World Cup. For those that don't know cricket is the second most watched game in the world behind Football (soccer to Americans and Aussies). There will be a world audience of close to one and a half billion people for the world cup final to be played in late April.
Canada will get to play England, Kenya and New Zealand in their pool. Unfortunately the US didn't make it this time but they did four years ago.
