555 doesn't fit, and is the answer

111, skip next (222), add next (333), equals 444

smae sequence, next in line would be

222, skip next (333), add next (444), equals 666

555 isn't part of the sequencing, and doesn't belong.


I have to go watch television now. It's almost 9 PM, and "Numbers" is on.

Sorry Dennis, not the answer I was looking for. THink a little simpler. THere is something you can add that will subtract one number.

222, because if you add 111 + 333 = 444, and if you add 111 + 444 = 555
Maybe right??? I forgot - if you add 111 + 555 = 666

333. You have 111 + 555 = 666, and you have 222 + 444 =666. You only have one 333 left, that doesn't add up to 666.

Good guesses.

The answer is 666. Why? If you put a colon in the number like this 1:11, you get a time of day.
