This small 100-page novel is about businessman Nick Comimski receiving this invitation in the mail: "You are invited to dinner with Jesus of Nazareth."

Of course, he thinks it is a joke set up by some of his friends, but he goes to the restaurant and has dinner and a discussion with Jesus. They talk about world religions and false concepts about God and, of course, get around to talking about Nick's spiritual need.

It is a wonderful quick read full of many good sermon illustrations as well as blessings. There are some really excellent quotes that can be used.

I recommend this book for all pastors and layman and Sunday School teachers. I just received it in the mail yesterday and finished it today. I will hand it to John to read when he gets home from M7.

'Sounds good. While reading about the book, I was reminded of the movie seen sometime in the last couple of years or so entitled, "Joshua." (think that's all there is to the title) It's "Jesus" in today's vernacular ... this guy named "Joshua" comes to town, etc, etc ... not a bad movie, actually.

The first time I saw it, it was only part of it ... caught it somewhere in the middle while channel-flipping late at night. It was on late again months later, and I finally caught it at the beginning. There's one part that's particularly neat that happens somewhere in the beginning/middle, and then is rectified at the end ... a neat symbolic occurrence. 'Won't spoil it by telling you what that is. ;)
