I do watch what is going on around me - and I see, the word is truth, my personally bottom line, nomen est omen.

Jesus holy name means Saviour.

John, Timothy, Dorothy, Theodore etc are "beloved by the Lord". Looking under surfaces, reading biographies and / or seeing or listening to life stories, we will get it. This will meet also alot of other names.

A short time ago I listened to the life story of a man, son of the Flower Power generation, an actor, his most beloved theater story was "Tristan und Isolde" after Tristam and Insult. He already died on alcohol about fifteen years ago. He named his daughter Isolde. This daughter is already an independent adult - and her life is a tragedy. She is a loving heart through and through - but she always has done an unhappy decision, as often she had to meet a decision.

I wish and I do pray for, she will find the way to Jesus Christ. Since she is a strong personality like a real queen, it looks as to be impossible, because only a broken heart can find it, not a proud heart.
Getting "another name" - a spiritual "Isolde" by the holy baptize act, could help her (I think so, I hope so - also as expression of her will).

See not at least Dave McClung - a real kings personality.

Is this wrong byside serious theology?

We're all just human sinners until Jesus comes and gives us a new name.

I don't think there'd be any theological reason to believe that a person's name will determine their future; although, there might be some instances in the Old Testament was said to live up to their name. Again, though, we also read about Jabez whose name basically meant pain and prayed that God would keep him from pain (or as some would understand from causing pain) and had that prayer answered. Our outlook on life, choices etc. can be influenced by the teachings and lifestyles of the parents who gave us our names. In the end, though, God still gives us all the opportunity to come to Him for cleansing and renewal.

Not sure if this is what you're asking about and I'm not a theologian, but it's how how would understand the situation theologically.

Yes, I agree.
A name will be just a parallele, an expression what parents do wish for their child.

In the end, though, God still gives us all the opportunity to come to Him for cleansing and renewal.
