Seems like the evidence for this is shaky at best.

Will you watch the documentary?

So, will this make "DaVinci Code" pale in comparison, or will it have little to no impact on the church. What about the culture at large? Will it shake anyone's faith?

I personally think that there is very little there. Perhaps interesting TV but I doubt the science will hold up.

I think that Christianity in general has kind of asked for it -- with all the searching for Noah's ark, shroud of Turin, digging up Jericho in search of fallen walls. We set about "proving" our faith by historical means rather than by changed lives.

Now, enemies of Christ are trying to fight back with their own "proof."

Still, personally, I think it is about as stupid a claim as can be imagined. You can go down to Mexico and find a "Jesus" buried in every cemetery in the country. Which would prove nothing beyond the fact that "Jesus" is a popular name in Mexico. The exact same thing can be said about Israel in the first century.

More of the same 'ol stuff. Here in the Dallas media market on the "God" channel, on Direct TV, there's a fellow who'll send you a bottle of "No Evil Oil" to anoint your stuff with so's slewfoot can't lay a hoof on it.

And there's the clown with the green handkerchiefs for you to WAVE when you need a blessing.

Will Some folks believe??? Sure - there's a sucker born every minute.

And since MOST "Faith" in Christian circles isn't really "Faith" at all - just "Hope" or wishful thinking, I'm sure that some folks will get their casual opinions/beliefs shaken a bit - might even be good for 'em. But FAITH can't be shaken - that's why it's called FAITH!!!

Will I watch it - probably not - I don't waste much time on "Discovery Channel Religion". Too many "educated liberal theologians" on there for it to be of much use. Anyway my wife will probably be watching "Ghost Whisperer", And I'll retire to the computer and toss theology around with like-minded folks (not that we agree on much, except that they don't like "Ghost Whisperer" either).

The "DaVinci Code" didn't have any effect on the church, nor did James' phony Ossuary, the Shroud of Turin, or Mary's various appearances here and there. This won't either - not even a bump in the road.

What I WOULD watch (if anybody showed it) would be Bluegrass Gospel music - Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, The Issacs, Third Tyme Out, Ricky Skaggs - come to think of it, they DO play that on RFD-TV.

O.K. problem solved.

This will only bring joy to people who already hate Christianity. I doubt the general public will really take this too seriously, but it should give us opportunity to share the life changing truth of Jesus with someone.

Oh to the topic question: Yeah right..
