    Stopwatch fun

Own a stopwatch? It can be your access to fun.

    I hadn't seen this before. It's great.

    Re: Stopwatch fun

Once in graduate school just for my own interest I used a stop watch, a tape recorder and a note paper to time the different news items presented by the three major networks at the time. Since the first was a 5 PM and the second was at 5:30 PM and the third was a 6 PM it made it easy then to compare how much time was spent on each news item, the order in which they were presented, which items were on one but not on another and adjectives as to "left leaning, middle of the road" or "right leaning" and other such adjectives indicative of the editorial stance of that network. I gave me a clearer picture of the various positions the newswriters were positioning themselves. I do remember that a national leader in a Central American nation was described as a "leftist" by one network was described as a "middle of the road" by another network.
