Welcome to the Book Review Forum. This is a place for us to compile reviews and discuss books. It is a great way for the community to discern together what is worth reading and how it challenges and affects us. The beauty of this system is that we're not always going to agree. We will have a variety of opinions on different books, but everyone can be better for the discussion, learning from and responding to different perspectives.

When reviewing a book, please start a new thread. Title the thread with the author's last name and first name, then a dash and the book's title. Example: Wynkoop, Mildred Bangs - A Theology of Love. This format allows us to quickly search for books and keep the forum orderly. If you're reviewing a work of fiction, please indicate that by selecting the "lightbulb" icon when titling the thread.

In a book review please include the basic information you'd want to know if you had not read the book. Give us a brief description of its contents or plot, perhaps some main characters, genre, style, etc. Any important information that a reader might not want to know, such as plot twists, etc can be made available, but hidden by turning the text of that particular section white. Those who wish to read it can highlight the text, others can avoid it. These can be marked by a "spoiler alert" indication.
