font colors?

When I type a quick response to a thread or in the "signature" that appears after each of my posts, selecting the pink font doesn't seem to work. Instead of changing the font, the html write-up just appears. Like so:

this text is in pink

Thanks!

Perhaps some other folks will try using different font colors.

I've been clicking on the icon to change the font too. I'm still just seeing the mark-up. My signature is where I REALLY want the pink to be...

So Katelynn, in your signature edit area, try doing the same thing you have listed there, but get rid of the "rgb(255, 0, 255)" part of it - just let it say [ COLOR="Pink"]. (and obviously get rid of the spaces before and after the words COLOR in that section. See if that works?

Orange Text
red text
Blue text

It looks like a bug in the software with rgb format as red and blue seem fine.

Randy did you copy the raw code from Katelynn's post or did you try to type in Orange and get the raw code? As you can see it works okay for me.

red text

Re: font colors?

I found it listed as a confirmed bug in the program. It has to do with css and using rgb color codes or standard color names. Why it works for some people and not for others is a mystery to me. Anyway, it's in the hopper to be fixed at some point.

Re: font colors?

Is it the difference in browsers that the colors don't seem to work the same for some? For a long, long time now -- even before the crash -- for some reason my long-time-ago default purple color in posts has not worked. I can only get color -- while some seem to have color regularly -- if I go through the color routine using the icons on the top line of the posts.

Comic Sans Font, Green

At one time we could set our font preference in our profile. I can't find that option anymore, is it no longer available?
