I was going to post this and suggest that I'd finally found common ground for everyone on NN- these folks are bonkers.
Reminded me of someone, Dennis. Since it mentions Zion, IL, I tho't of Smitty -- a suite mate at Olivet [Esther Smitherman, actually ... if anyone knows her].

Just had to come back to add something I forgot, after reading that flat earth page. What on earth orb do they think was seen from the space capsule if not the earth ... or was that supposedly a set-up/staged thing and not for real, too, as the moon walk was purported to be?
Can't believe it ... wonder how many members they now have -- serious ones, not signing on as a joke -- since they reopened the possibility of membership October '09?![]()

To these groups, everything you were taught in science about the earth is a lie, as are our frequent astronaut programs, the international space station, etc.
Which reminds me of an author I follow mentioning that his kid cannot accept the International Space station, but accepts any weird explanation of the tooth fairy. Bah, religion.
I was born in Zion, IL and the Christian Catholic Church was going strong, even built a new fancy building in the 1960s. So they did not fizzle out after '42. Very interesting town with very interesting laws. I think the church has changed its name in the last couple decades, but...
