Are you a poke, poke, poker?

Someone I know and love very much is a poke, poke, poker. And also a stir, stir, stirrer.

    With and at their food.

If it's a bowl of cereal, they poke and stir with the spoon continually.

If it's a salad, they poke and stir with their fork continually.

"It's OKAAAAAAAAAAAAY," I'm tempted to scream. "You've stirred in the milk (and/or) dressing a bazillion times, already! Would you please STOP IT!?"

Do you know anyone like that?

And if so, are you tempted to scream at them?

(Or are you a poke, poke, poker and driving your family up the wall?)

There, am glad I finally got that off my chest.

Someone I love stirs his coffee. On and on and on ... tink, tink, tink ... against the side of the cup. And he drinks it black, no sugar. I mean, what's the point? And yes, sometimes I want to scream.

I wonder if maybe your stirrer-of-black-coffee and my poke-poke-poker are related, Diane.

Cool Re: Are you a poke, poke, poker?

Just be glad it's the salad they're poking instead of you ...
or maybe they do that because they're tempted?
