    uploading pictures

I cannot upload any pictures. When I click on the attachments button, I have the option to add new files, but when I select them from my own hard drive, they won't actually upload to NazNet. It just appears to think and think forever. Anyone having this issue? I've tried it in my Google Chrome browser and Microsoft Internet Explorer. No luck on either.

It's not really intuitive. Maybe these attachments will help. If not, go to your user settings>General Settings> scroll to the very bottom and turn off "Enhanced Attachment Uploading."

Scott, this is what I was doing, but after I hit upload files, nothing happened. You're right about the new way being non-instinctual. I pride myself on being pretty tech-savvy most of the time. ;o )

I wonder if it has to do with file size, or maybe the type of file it is. I you haven't already, try a real small image and see if it goes. Also, check file type and if it isn't jpg or png try one of those.

Then, if it still doesn't go and you have a second web browser on your computer, try it with a different web browser.

I doubt it's anything you are doing wrong, but it's some incompatibility.

Okay, I changed my settings to disable the advanced option and resized the pictures. They went through just fine. Who knows... ;o )

If this is somewhere else, I apologize.

I was finally able to upload a picture, but I can't figure out how to make it my profile picture. How do I do that?

Charlene, that is under "Settings" in the top right corner of the forum. There you find both Edit my avatar or Edit my profile picture.
