Was thinking -- when it just happened again -- that it wouldn't be good if this forum kept record not just re what happens, but also what it might think someone tried to do. You see, with this thing working via touch, I'll be trying to move down a page, and suddenly I'll get one of those notes about reporting a post for some infraction.
So, to those who note stats, etc ... nope, I've not tried to ever report any post(s).![]()

Finding yahoo's latest thing extremely annoying ... trying to read list etc, it distracts ... so: (1) finding the SAME TWO weird addresses there which it does NO GOOD to tell yahoo to block, like their note says they will, (2) having written and asked why they are still not blocked/why not, etc (wks now, before the PC crash even), and (3) hearing absolutely nothing in reply, just had to ask them to at least stop the blinking. Am I sensitive to distractions, or does this constant blinking bug anyone else?
Anyway, sent this tonight, wondering if/hoping that I am not the only one writing them about this downright nasty feature:
pleeease ... if you refuse to block what you say you will block, the very LEAST you could do to those incessant repetitive chat requests is to STOP the doggone DISTRACTING blinking that bothers when one is trying to simply USE their mailbox!!!!!
thank you.

If Mitt doesn't make it, I am rooting for Santorum! I so desperately want to have a good and decent man as President of this country once again!
And I'm way off track for this thread, my apologies to all, I'll try to not let it happen again.
And to everyone, may the Lord cause his face to shine upon you today, may he cause the snow to fall where folks want it to, May the Lord lift His face towards you and give you peace!
And as they say around here............Shake a hand and hug a neck!
Morning all!

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

Psalm 8
Genesis 11:10-12:9; Matthew 5:17-26
See, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth, I tell you of them. Isaiah 42:9
The darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

God of creating light, you were in the beginning before anything

Deal !!!
So you know about the big Alliance church around the corner from me? Neat. We actually went there twice on Sundays after we moved here. They have a "new" start, contemporary style service in the youth chapel that is pastored by a pretty smart guy. That church is one of the bright spots in the area.
So, do you want all that snow before Saturday's game? That would bring back bad memories that have been "tucked" away in the far corners of many minds.
I have a friend that lives on west 42nd. off of sterrettania. I haven't heard from him in a while, I stop in there whenever I'm going thru. His parents were involved with the early building programs over there, his dad owned a chain of donut stores in Erie.
I've been to the Alliance church 6 or 7 times when Rick Crocker was there. Great preacher! I can remember sometimes planning my trips so that I could be there at the right time. I guess, I'll have to visit you guys next time.
I grew up in an Alliance church www.faithall.org the pastor is the son of one of my friends from way back then.
Sure, send the snow anytime you get the chance! I have no idea even what a game is. I try to get up north enough each winter to ride 5000 miles on snow sled. My pastor is pretty happy that there isn't enough snow yet. But it's a coming, I'm heading up on the 23rd. till the 2nd. Send the snow, we are ready!

Jim, do you live in MA or ME? So, since you want to do 5000 miles on a snow sled, are you doing this in the 10 days you are heading "up north"? That would be 500 miles a day. What a great snow sled you must have.
And, what exactly are you referring to when you say "snow sled". I know of no other kind.
Wow , 21 posts this time . And a variety of people , too.
Managed very little being last - 1 hour 1 minute , 1 hour 27 minutes and just 23 minutes .

I live in MA, I have a vacation home in ME. I spend most of the winter in ME, and to be clear, that is where I would like the snow to be delivered if it isn't too much to ask.
5000 miles in ten days would be too much for me. I've ridden over 2000 miles in a week before, I remember being tired afterwards though. So far my record for miles in one day is 415.
Currently I have a pair of Ski Doo 1200 four stroke sleds, one long track and one short track. I use the short sled for day trips and I take the long sled on the longer overnight trips. Right now after waiting for nine months, I'm eagerly anticipating the 15 mile ride from my house to Tim Horton's. I can't wait...................send snow..................situation desperate.![]()

Here is a picture of the long sled.
I need to get this picture up on the wall at the house up there with this printed below it.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

just saw tim horton mentioned. reminded me that one day last week I noticed that that is what went into a closed boston market place (where i never went) a couple of miles from here. sooo, figured that -- being new -- coupons were in the works.
sure enough, in last weekend's paper, there were some, so may try them.

For us, Tim Horton's so much more than coffee. It's an experience, it's a place where everybody knows your name, it's a place where I can stay connected to a community that I only visit 10-12 times a year.
Oh and the sandwiches and the soups! You have to try it out!
Some of my favorite times have been sitting quietly at the Tim Horton's in Caribou with a half sandwich, soup and a coffee. You will not believe the inner peace!

OK, so maybe we'll have to check out the soup now. At the library (to print re that vehicle warr thing), hungry, and the mushrooms at home I have to make into soup are not ready to eat yet ... that'll be for tonight. Maybe we'll just have to try the place before the storm hits tonight and keeps us in for a couple of/few days!
Sounds like "Tim Horton's Cheers," BTW, with your description.![]()

Dad really wanted to take me to visit the PA farm show today. I thought that strange since he wasn't a farm boy. Silly me, he wasn't there for the ag displays...he was there for the gastronomic tour of the commonwealth!
