Ah, you have much to learn grasshopper. The moderators are participants here, we trust them fully, safe in the knowledge that they would never do such a thing. This is peaceful meadows my friend. Relax, kick back and enjoy.

9 posts this time and mine got 2 hours and 43 minutes and 5 hours and 39 minutes .

And Dan , I have been tempted to close the thread with my post being last but that would never be fair so I won't do it. I wouldn't even mess around with the original title .

Had a nice Mothers Day weekend. Went to the Womens Tea at Church yesterday with my daughter and future daughter in law and then to a movie and out to an early dinner. Today my son and his fiance took me to lunch and a movie. Overall a very nice time.

Re: Who will be the last person to add to this "never ending" thread?

A decent Mother's day weekend here. On Friday we dropped off our little fellow for a weekend boyscout outing at the Advent Christian camp in Marion, MA, then we took the scenic way back taking in a nice dinner on the way home. My wifes plans were to have her mom and dad over for the afternoon on Sunday, so I moved a few vehicles around, mowed the lawn and trimmed, then a nice quiet evening. We had a great service this morning and a nice lunch and afternoon with the inlaws.

Except that our little fellow had gotten very little sleep and was especially crabby and emotional. I had a couple of chats with him trying to break his spell. After everyone left, I got the chance to let him vent and cry a bit and then I was able to get through to him. For the last hour he has recovered nicely and he's headed up to bed willingly right now. Not a bad day afterall.

Jim that's the first you mentioned your son , that I can remember . Your wife and dog but no one else . It'd be really nice if you shared a bit about your family . Curious minds want to know ! lol

Current temp 55º and I'm off to bed .

Good morning Marg! And no problem, actually we have two sons, one is 11 and his older brother is 27. No grandchildren yet, we are praying though. Let me see if I can rustle up a family picture somewheres.

58 degrees here with a 30% chance of showers, high of 70. Should be a decent day to work on a roofing job, needs to be done tomorrow by noon cause rain is a coming.

It seems most fitting to use this thread for my first post on NazNet so that, at least for a time, the first can be last.

Now, back to the weather .....

Welcome Steve. Hey weather is important you know. It was weather issues that brought Superman here from his home planet Krypton.

Maybe your not old enough to remember Superman?

Maybe my memory is faulty, but I remember that they had managed to control the climate on Krypton, then changes started to take place and the control systems failed. Just before the planet exploded Superman's dad Jor-El, shot Superman to earth in a capsule. Or something like that.

If I had started the thread I can change whatever I want but since I didn't start the thread , I think that isn't the right route . Mind you , that is just how I feel and others would have no qualm doing so in fun . Its not mean . I sure wouldn't want anyone touching what I wrote unless they were correcting spelling or editing out a part , that heaven forbid I'd ever do it , should not be said here ! And techincally it was appended it was inserted .

10 posts this time and mine got 36 minutes and 1 hour and 7 minutes .

Actually turned the A/C on yesterday , late afternoon . But sitting here at the computer this evening with hands near frozen I realized I was very cold and switched the heat back on again . It hasn't come on much but I'm warmer and my hands feel a lot better . Current temp is 57º. Was a lovely day yesterday . Up to 76º .

    You are most welcome.

I've found that sneaking up on a snarf is much more fun. Especially if you are ten posts away and working feverishly to get the ten posts in before someone else comes in and grabs it.

Which actually happened to me way back when I was attempting to get #666. Luckily I was able to delete one of my posts and roll the counter back.

Yeah, we know you wouldn't, Marg ... just a wee bit more strait-laced than your fellow host who has done that Burma-Shave style, too, all for a little old snarf!

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

Ours is here today! It rained pretty hard yesterday morning, then it cleared up and got pretty hot.

I wonder how long, I can last this time.

Not long if Marge is still looking.

    And Marg got another (US-related) double-snarf! 7676 = our most recent '76 was1976's bicentennial.

Yes, Marg, I do know your country's year, too ... centennial was 1967 {went to Montreal for Expo}.

Thank you , thank you , Gina .

Wonder if we were at Expo 67 at the same time . We went up at least 5 or 6 times . It was only 100 miles and my brother was living there at that time . I would have gone one more time as relatives were visiting and heading up but it was my last day in nurses' training . It was only a half day but my mom didn't want me to miss as I hadn't missed a day to that point in the 3 years .

Current temp 44º but its going up to 73º today and low 80s Saturday and Sunday !!!
