Another 95 degree day here, I've got to get out the door and get something done before it get's too hot. Poured 13 yards of concrete yesterday out in the open sun, almost didn't make it.
But I can feel the weight coming off! Or at least I hope so! Gotta be a silver lining somewhere.

Well, then, we will tell you what we did tonight: after ESL/ELL class, instead of telling everyone at Horrocks (an interesting produce/greenhouse/Pier One-combo sort of store we go to sometimes for produce) what our name is, we told everyone at the Mediterranean Island (an interesting Middle Eastern store) instead. Soooo easy to forget to take off that sticky nametag we all wear at class!

If any consolation, ran into someone else from class in Horrocks awhile back. Learned they have done that, too. Would not be surprised to learn there have been others, too. Sort of funny, actually. The only folks who would have no idea what happened would be those who have never been to anything where they used a nametag.

Current temp 56º. Had the heat back on Monday evening till Wednesday morning . Got tired of freezing in the house ! Haven't liked to switch back and forth in the past but have done so numerous times this year . I figure my comfort is worth it !

Could you tell me a little about your avatar? While I'm inclined to let sleeping dogs lie ... on first glance, I thought it was a snake ... maybe, a western rattlesnake with those horn-like apendages. Then I looked again. But now I cannot get the thought out of my head -- I don't cotton to snakes. (And we're planning to visit Albuquerque next month ... home of the American Rattlesnake Museum.)
Mid-50's last night; maybe 101 today, we're told. Have a nice day.
Best way is to post the actual pictures . They were taken the first day I got this dog , BB. She is a schipperke and was 5 years old when I got her . Me no like snakes either !
