As much as I detest summer, I am glad your enjoying it. It's only fair that you get to enjoy summer after enduring our beloved winter!

And Hey! What a cute little beastie! Actually a whole gaggle of cute little beasties, you've been holding out on us Marg!

I did get a note off to Mark's Pastor, telling him that we miss him, who knows, he could be holding out for #10,000?

Yes, happy Canada Day to you, Marg! Our day's Wednesday. Just realized again, while typing this, that ~~ were Danny here ~~ it would've been our 19th anniversary! Sometimes seems forever, & sometimes does not seem like nearly a cpl decades since marrying . . . .

Winter's coming! As we sat around last night waiting for the fireworks to start, the conversation turned to the prospects of snow and when and where we expected to ride this winter. One of the guys actually came to the fireworks wearing an Arctic Cat shirt on! Refreshing!

That would spoil all my fun if I were enjoying my summer and someone starting talking about hurrying winter along . How to spoil a good time fast !!! Summer is cheaper , too, as I don't pay to get the grass cut anywhere near as often as I have to pay to get snow removed .

Oops, sorry Marg. Didn't mean to spoil your summer, hope your enjoying it! There's still plenty of time left before the cooling breezes of autumn embrace us.

I must admit that I do enjoy summer at the house in Maine. It's just plain unbearable down here though, seems like it's going on three weeks now with temps hovering around 90 and humidity just a tad higher than that. Sure glad I don't live in the south or the midwest!

Here, we had a record breaker day with 101. They said they have kept records since 1892, so that is 120 years.

~ still missin' the SW, however, b/c I know winter's acomin' all toooooo soon.

And 104F today. That is quite some temp for MI, esp since at the airport, which is out east of town. Some temps (like Kalamazoo) say they come from a downtown reading ~~ always hotter than out of town ~~ so their reading was 108 of 109. Either way, it is warm enough to remind me a bit of AZ. Still miss it, tho', as winter will come before you know it.

Right on , Gina . Let's enjoy this great weather so we'll have happy memories to get us through the rest of the year . We can complain all we want then . But be happy. This is so nice and warm .( saying that while nearly freezing as the A/C blows on my legs . But I'm moving away soon from this spot )

ETA: like the "cold front" they speak of that is coming, too, meaning 80s instead of near 100.

THAT kind of "cold" I can take!! LOL

Now that sounds nice! A little reprieve would be nice. Yesterday was hot enough that my shirt was completely wet, not one square inch of it dry, and my pants were we all the way to the knee. You know it's hot out when the money in your pocket gets wet from it!

    No problem Marg.

Maybe it's a guy thing, but I almost actually like adversity, or at least the mild kind like yesterday. I was installing an artesian well pump, which tends to become rather strenuous towards the end when trying to get the pitless adaptor seated without dropping the pump into the well. It was hot enough that I had to leave tools under a piece of plywood to keep them cool enough to use.

Today's another day though, I need to get the trench dug to the house for the water line, I gave up on it yesterday. But if I get out there early and get it done before the sun gets too high, it shouldn't be all that bad.

Who will be the last person to add to this "never ending" thread

    Well?

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

    Can we outlast Him?

    The race is on.

Feel free to mail those wet greenbacks here. We'll dry them out and return them ... less S and H, of course.

Hey Steve, I'm from New England, we don't just go and mail greenbacks you know.

In fact I couldn't even get them all out until I took off my pants. Short arms and deep pockets you know.

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

3 added this time and mine got 34 minutes and 6 hours and 25 minutes .

Was at a birthday party this afternoon for my great niece who turned 4 on the 5th . Princess Aurora visited for an hour with the children . Of course , this has to be booked well in advance and just last week Keira changed from wanting to be a princess to being the Avenger . She did keep her princess duds on while Aurora was there but took it off right away . One of her gifts was a Captain America costume which went on right away and stayed on till the end .

    Hi Marg,
Is this the place for a sexist comment about women always changing their minds? And only 4, too.

You like to live dangerously , Steve , I took this in the spirit with which it was given and will let you get away with it ! Men are often more decisive as women tend to think of multiple consequences . Many of them men would laugh at . But aren't you glad we are all different ? Adds spice to life .
