    Night Marg.

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

I got the rest. Went up to Maine for the week, last week. Beautiful weather, slower pace of life, great scenery! And in between resting and just taking it all in, I managed to put vinyl siding on my garage up there.

    Morning all!

That wasn't quite what I meant about rest but I'm glad it was approprite for that . I meant he was last the rest of the day here . But glad you got a change of pace , Jim , and a much deserved rest .

So you see, Marg, it's not only on the CE Forum where folks look to twist your words ... to assign meanings that you did not mean to phrases you use innocently, etc. And all to be the "last". Tsk, tsk.

Would like to go back to Maine sometime. Have hiked in Baxter, and visited Portland several times. Beautiful in the fall. From her posts, though, I reckon Gina would not cotton to their winters.

And yet there is such a huge difference in the way we handle things. This is truly an amazing place.

    Morning All!

Looks like another day of on and off again rain here again. I suppose we need the rain though, it's sure better than the heat! Plus we have to get the swamps filled up and the ground saturated so that the ground can freeze and the snow can start to accumulate. There is hope!

And , Jim , you can just wash your mouth out with soap for saying you want that dirty 4 letter stuff early . Maybe lye soap would be the best !!!

Well, I was only trying to point out that you may have missed what I said earlier, when you said you hoped it went as planned.

However, even though you can't see me, I assure you that I'm hanging my head in shame.

I don't know about the soap thing though, I'm thinking that I'd rather not.

Snow is always so much better when you're heading out to play in it, rather than heading to work in it. I used to love it more than I do now. Now, the summer solstice is always a sad day for me ... Because it means we've started that long march of increasingly shorter days toward winter. Don't usually dwell similarly on the winter solstice ... Other things going on in our home then.
But we do have some self-proclaimed Druids in this town who celebrate the winter solstice with dancing around an outdoor campfire at night. Uncle Al might be a guest. Regarding snow ... I could never figure if they were for it or ag'in it.

I read it just as I was heading to bed and really missed the part about snow . Never thinking you were wishing to set us in the prison of winter cold , ice and snow early .

Oh No, you have it all wrong Marg! It's nothing like that at all! Promise!!

My desire is to spend a nice long winter up in Northern Maine, The Maritimes and Quebec. I'll be glad to wish for a mild snowless winter with temps in the 40's and 50's for Southern Ontario.

I do have a friend from Toronto who loves to ride in the Lake Simcoe area. I believe that he may be your problem.

Good to see you again , you, Steve.

Tonight I had Chinese food . Haven't had any for about a year . Tasted good except was disappoinyed in the moo shoo pork . No crepes or hoisin sauce . When I called back they were out of them . Wish they had said that and I would have cancelled that item . I'm suppposed to get something free next time . So we'll see . Better order before a year though . Don't want them to forget me !

I really like Chinese food, but have tried to avoid it. We purchased a small CSA share from a local farm family at our church, so we've been eating a fair amount of vegetables this summer, including many that I would never have purchased at the store otherwise. Tomorrow I need to figure what to do with acorn squash. (I've been giving the eggplant to our neighbor when my wife isn't looking.)

Actualy I think that should have been PVR . That's what that computer -like device seems to be called . Much easier to say " taped "

Morning all! And nighty nite Marg!

To know and to serve God, of course, is why we're here, a clear truth, that, like the nose on your face, is near at hand and easily discernible but can make you dizzy if you try to focus on it hard. But a little faith will see you through.

Yep , soon to bed . Since my meeting was cancelled last night I had to go out before 7 AM to drive my garbage bag down to the end of the driveway . To get more out of having to start my car I went to McDonald's for breakfast . Had a 2 for one coupon . Ended up with 2 peppermint teas - 16 oz each , total a small quart (US) . Was good but rather much . Delaying bed a bit so I'll not have to get up right away !! lol

Marg, you maybe could have drunk one hot, taken the other home for iced tea later.
